...He himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

Acts 17:24-28a

A personal invitation to live and proclaim Jesus Christ!

150 years of Mennonite-Brethren – a good reason to look back to the roots and to ponder the future of our movement.

The years around 1860 were very eventful, as our Lord blessed our spiritual fathers and mothers and provided them with a vision for the future of the church of Jesus. However, these were also years of tough examination, in which the belief and the high ideals of a church of the New Testament have been thorougly tested. This ha kept us occupied during the various history symposiums in Oerlinghausen and during the visits to the historical places of our movement.

Today we are thankful for God's provision. We are especially astonished about what he allowed to sprout and still does on the mission fields worldwide. As the “great-grandchildren” of the Mennonite-Bretheren family of this revival movement we are looking forward, contemplate the challenges for the church of Jesus, and pray for the future.

From the 13th to 24th May the Mennonite Brethren from various countries met for the 150th anniversary of the MB-churches.

Together we also look forward and look out for open doors, through which we can pass through to confront other people with the Good News of Jesus.
